iPad Pro vs. Microsoft Surface Pro – Specs and Features Race

With the latest releases, we are actually witnessing another race between the tech giants, Microsoft and Apple. Everyone can’t help but wonder if Microsoft’s Surface Pro is able to beat Apple’s new iPad. This is why some clear up was mandatory, just to make it easier to choose between the two great products.

It won’t be long until Apple will release its new iPad Pro, a 12.9 inch one; this is why we should use the remaining time to clear up some things and compare the two devices.

Design

Both devices are over 12 inches, the only difference being the fact that iPad Pro has a bigger display (12.9 inch versus 12.3). But this aspect is subjective because some might prefer it smaller due to the increased practicability.

On the other side, the display battle might be won by one certain side because the iPad Pro has a 2732×2048 pixel at 264 pixels per inch display, whereas Microsoft’s Surface is equipped with a 2736 x 1824 pixel at 267 pixels per inch display.

General Specs

The Surface Pro offers more options when it comes to storage (with SSD, 28GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB), while iPad Pro’s storage can have 32GB, 128GB, or 256GB.

Microsoft does the same with the RAM memory as well, offering a 4GB, 8GB or 16GB RAM memory, while Apple comes with 4GB RAM.

The Intel 7th Generation Kaby Lake Core m3, i5, i7 is Surface’s Pro processor and Apple has a different type, a 64-bit A9X and M9 one.

Price

The standard 32GB iPad Pro costs 729£, while Microsoft’s 128GB version Surface Pro costs a little more, namely a little below 800£, but at these kinds of specs, it is totally worth it.

After all, it’s a matter of taste and necessity. While some might need Apple’s product for a certain feature, a Microsoft Surface fan will always go with the Pro version.
