Twitter Introduced a New Feature for Android Users Called Highlights

These days, most popular social networks, Facebook and Twitter announced some new features and apps, both available only for Android users. Facebook launched a new app called Hello, created to inform you who is calling you. It matches the number to a Facebook profile in seconds, and it will work if the caller shared the phone number on the social network.

Earlier today, Twitter announced Highlights, a brand new feature which will initially be available in English. Also, it available for Android users only.

Thanks to Highlights, you will easily catch up on the conversations and tweets most significant to you. You will get Highlights from Twitter twice daily, through a notification. All you need to do is open the notification, and in a new interface the most interesting and relevant conversation and tweets will be displayed. In order to check them all out, swipe from right to left, and when you are done, swipe one more time, and you will see your Twitter home timeline.

In order to start receiving notifications, an opt-in is required. In its announcement shared on the official blog, Twitter provided the directions needed: “Turn it on now by going to Settings. Select your account handle; and in the mobile notifications menu, check the Highlights box.”

Twitter also said: “We’re refining the experience on Android first and will consider bringing Highlights to other platforms in the future.”
