To update your Nexus 5, just follow several simple steps listed below:

  • Open Settings app
  • Scroll down and then tap on About phone
  • Tap on the “System updates” option
  • Tap Check for updates

If there is no update available for your Nexus 5, you will see a message saying “Your system is up to date”.

If there is an update available for your Nexus 5, just tap Install. If prompted, tap Restart to complete the update process. That is all! Once you are done, the system will be up to date!
